In her seventies, Auntie Siu endures yet another night filled with harsh threats and abuse from her son. After years of bearing such torment, she reaches her limit. Determined to rid herself of her old sofa, a symbol of her life long past, she sets off alone toward the garbage dump. At midnight, she crosses paths with Uncle Tang, a neighbour she has known for over thirty years.
Together, they embark on a journey, manoeuvring the heavy, worn-out sofa through the quiet streets of the city. Their route leads them to convenience stores, parks, and underpasses, and finally the garbage dump. Along the way, they encounter an array of colourful characters and discarded treasures, and discover the lonely beauty of the surroundings.
