This one-act play unfolds in the male changing room of a Japanese hot spring, where three men engage in a heated debate. Their friend is on the verge of a life-altering decision, and they grapple with whether to intervene. The play delves into the hidden vulnerabilities of men and explores the damaging impact of toxic masculinity.
The play was presented as a staged reading in "Playwright's Studio 12", a programme organised by the Hong Kong Arts Centre in association with the School of Drama at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The play would later undergo a year of revision and be presented in Hong Kong Repertory's Reader's Theatre. It would also subsequently be adapted into a musical by Actors' Family.
