A couple struggling with their communication decides to have a child in hopes of resolving their issues, only to find unsettling black spots appearing on their skin. A teenage boy, feeling disconnected in a rapidly changing world, schemes to provoke emotions in others by inflicting pain. A dedicated government official tirelessly works to educate the public about a new form of communication. In a futuristic society, an individual voices his/her anxiety about experiencing bizarre dreams where physical touch between people is possible.
These four storylines weave together, illustrating a dystopian world where these enigmatic black spots alter the essence of human relationships. The play unfolds through a non-linear, fragmented narrative, reflecting on the pervasive use of QR codes during the COVID-19 pandemic and reconsidering its effects on intimacy and human relationships.
