Set in the male changing room of a Japanese hot spring, this one-act play centres on three men locked in a heated debate. Their friend is about to make a life-altering decision, and they grapple with whether to intervene. The play delves into the vulnerabilities men often hide, exploring the damaging effects of toxic masculinity and the impact of twisted cultural values and bullying in boys' school.
After a year of revisions and refinements, a brand new edition of the play was presented in the Hong Kong Repertory's Reader's Theatre. Following the performance, a panel discussion was held to further workshop the play and guide its development towards a more sophisticated production.
